2nd time out in car, new best, & new problems...
Well, ran the car for the second time since buying it last summer yesterday, and so far I gotta say the thing runs pretty good considering the only things I really know about its past is the engine was rebuilt (stock, .030 over) and so was the 700R4 (stock converter). managed 13.18 @ 104.9 second pass of the day following a 13.25 @ 104.5. Not too bad, IMO.
The problem lies with now twice (in eliminations, none the less), it fell on its face coming out of the hole, both times after making 4 passes. I am only coming up on the converter to about 1200rpms, and am pretty consistent how I launch the car, burnout included w/drag radials. Anybody else have this happen? If so, what was the cause? It's a speed density car, perhaps this belongs in tech, anyways, haven't had time to tear into it yet and see if I can determine what happened.
