My goals are to get everything i have sitting in my closet installed. Then go to the track. Its not looking well for this year, so i may have to sit out of the track another year. Its been 3 years since i've gone stock

I've cone a long way since, but i guess it'll be worth the wait!

My goal for my first trip to the track is 12.5 or better with a 1.8x 60'. I also wanna drive the car home when i'm finished with nothing broken.

My goal for the season is 11.99 or better at at least 112-113 mph. That goal may change though depending on how it goes on my first trip. I don't really wanna change my engine setup so i'm prolly gonna be looking towards tuning, suspension, and weight reduction for the rest of the season.

My goal is to run the Jeep a few times in Street until mid August when the Nova will be done. I just want to be able to get down there to enjoy the track air and atmosphere a few times so I don't go insane!

After the Nova is done I plan on running it just about every weekend in order to work out all the bugs so I can run points in Heavy next year. Maybe I'll run a few gambler's and footbrake races as well.

Jackie: FYI in case you all come up to the Grove. The Grove will implement a 10 second auto start this year. This will have an impact to all the deep stage drivers. If you stage deep you really have to hussle up to the line. I believe at the Jersey tracks they swith to a manual start to let the deep car set up or have the auto start delay set really long.

This will be my first season of racing, so I am hoping to get mid-low 13s with a lightly modded car and get a feel for what needs to be improved.

I have 2 goals this year.
One is to race more events so that I can be more consistant on the tree. I don't race bracket points but there are 8 street tire shootouts with $800 purse and the f-body.org national event, camaroz28.com national event, the north vs south event and 2 NMCA events near enough to me.
Goal # 2 is to run an 11.99999999 @ any speed with the stock LS1 motor at street weight (3500#). And that means STOCK from the origional MAF thru the cast iron manifolds and everything in between. I've already gotten to the low 12s. And I've done a little tweaking this winter on the suspension, converter, and exhaust.

I have 3 goals this year...

1) Run a 9 second pass on a true "stock" bottom end.

2) Cut a sub 1.3 60' (best to date...1.36)

3) Win the heavy E/T class at both island and englishtown (would love to run super....but delay boxes and throttle stops on FI is kinda beyond my skill level)

Why does the Grove have such issues with deep staging Jim? When Rick and I went to Super Chevy last July his dad was going to race his Chevelle and they were giving him a hard time about going in deep. It discouraged me and Rick's dad from racing that event. Do you have guys up there that regularly screw around or something?

Jackie, IMO the Grove is trying to discourage deep staging. They give everyone a hard time about it. The car that goes deep must go stage first. If the other car light the bulb first you aren't going to be able to set deep. When I ran the trailblazer I deep staged (31" front tires). They dropped the light on me twice. I complained and was told that I had to have "DEEP" on the truck. Gee I only had it on both sides!!! Unlike Jersey the startes don't change the start to manual when a deep car comes to the line. This year I set the car up to launch from a very shallow start because I have a slow car and have play chase me most of the time.

Just a couple of goals here

A) have my Z/28 make it down the track for the first time since I blew it up on 7/27/01 @ 7:04 PM (that's what it says on the timeslip, still ran a 12.5 @ 100 on that run)

B) 10's @ 130

Marc
P.S. Ted, do you think NED will open on time ?

Hi Ted Sorry to hear you may not make it to all the races. That goes for me too.I am currently redoing the fuel system( fuel cell HP Pump etc also switched over the shocks to Hal's BMR tourqe arm.and put the battery out back too and of course now I can have a transbrake and 2 step.Next to the body shop for paint and lettering. So it may be a late start for me .I couldn't get the trailer out of the yard till recently buried in the white stuff.
2003 goals get down into the low 10's go some rounds in the brackets and run Super Street at 4or5 Div 1 events.Hope to see you shortly even if I have to run the GN or the Z06 I have the itch and I need to scratch it.

13.7 @ 100 n/a
12.5@ 110 n2o.

I think the n/a mph is somewhere in the car as it sits with a lot of tuning (305 tbi) but i dont know if I can pull the funds for the N2O. Depends how long the tranny holds out.

8.90's or better. And take more peoples cash this summer.

Most people don't understand that my car is a 31x16.5x15 M/T ET Street tire, chromoly tube chassis from the fire wall back, dble frame rail, alumin interior, four link, chromoly fab-9 ford 9" rear end,14point cage car. This car will weight in less than 3,000 with 200lb driver. The motor is ARE 398ci LT4 13.5+ comp. 700+ lift solid roller,AFR heads and custome direct port NOS Pro Race fogger kit set up for 600hp shot nitrous.

So that is where 8.90's come into play. This is a street driven car! If you don't believe me try me and I will show you! Just bring some cash! I have a 447ci turbo motor going to gether.
