2000 z28 stock?

I have a 2000 z28 with the LS1/6 spd. The only mods I have done are the MAF Descreen, SLP lid and Nitto's. I ran (2)13.1's at 108 and (1)13.264 at 106. I beat my buds Eaton blown 97 GT by a car length. He runs 13.3 's all day. Are my times normal for the mods on my car are do you think the prior owner left some mods on when he traded it in. Seems faster than I expected (NO complaints )

that actually sounds right on par. what kind of 60fts are you gettting? are you running on street tires (radials)?

i would say that if you have already toyed with DR's or slicks, than with a very good day (air), you could see a 12.9.

if you havent yet experimented with some real tires (DR's/slicks), then do yourself a favor and get some. once added, get a little more agressive with your launches, and you'll almost certainly see high 12's. just don't keep that meat back there when you start some serious mods. that is, if you like your rear and everything

Im running Nitto Drag radials w/ 24.5 PSI in them.
I drop the hammer at 3500 RPM and spin a bit before hooking up 1.9/2.0 sixtys. I was thinking of putting a 3 inch cut-out of the exhaust somewhere in line with the driveshaft. Long term I would add a NX 100 hp shot and leave it at that. I think I would see solid low 12's. Oh yeah, The blown GT pulled me on the line and by 3rd I had a car length on him. Ron

Those are pretty good times.

I raced my friends ls1 one time at the local 1/8 mile track. He had a 125 shot and I had my 5.slow. Very close run but I got to the finish line first with a slower reaction time. It was a good friendly run. He was still trying to work all the bugs out of the car.
