14.6 @ 101.03

I ran at the track for the first time in my 98 z28. The elevation at the track is over 3000 feet. I was wondering if the trap speed was pretty good. I know the ET can be lower with the 100 mph trap speed tho. I had a 2.9 60'. Any suggestions how to get the 60' lower w/o breaking the stock rear? Only mod is SLP loudmouth cat back.

For only exhaust and that elevation, and that bad of a 60', I would say that is a pretty good mph. Now just get some stickier tires and bring that 60' down to a 1.9 and you should be low low 13s/high 12s.

Drag Radials. That sixty foot is horrible. I had a better sixty foot time than that in a Suzuki Aero...

Yeah, that 60' is insanely bad. I've had better 60's spinning all the way though first and into 2nd. My 17 second GMC Jimmy has a far better 60'

Better tires + practive will make more of a difference than anything else.

I always have a theory of don't throw money at the car, my suggestion, hit the track up 3-4 more times, get your launch down...

Drive around the box, spin the tires a little to clean them off, drive up to the line, brake torque it up(not sure the RPM, experiment), and go from there.

Even with sticky tires I think you would just spin the **** out of them too then be just wasting expensive tires. Your new so you just need a little practice, rarely peopel pull their best times first times to the track.

your car is capable of 13s easily, at your altitude.
