13's....about time

Well finally got a 13.9 at the track last night. For around here that's the fastest i've seen an A4 lt1. Most of the F-bodies are LS1's. The elevation at the track is a little over 1k, does that make any noteworthy difference?

elevation does make a difference and so does the weather. What was the temp and humidity? I've seen guys run a half sec slower on muggy days.

Re: 13's....about time

it was cool and the humidity was pretty low. Good night for racing. I'm not sure how some people get 13.8's and 13.7's with a stock LT1. I've NEVER seen one that fast around here. I think i just need to go to a good track, not a crappy one that lets 4wheelers motorcycles mini-dragsters and street cars all race the same night.

Mattyb.... what kind of 60' time did you cut to get a 13.8 with only intake 2.0?

Nice run man.......congrats on the 13......it felt good when I finally ran one.....now Im shooting for mid to low 13's, then 12's and so on, you know how it goes You still definately have some room for improvement with them 3.73 gears.....Im guessing with drag radials and a dead hook you would be 1.95 60 foot and 13.6-13.7 et.

Yes, it appears a set of DR's are in the formulas future. What kind do you guys like? I'd probably get some Mickey ET streets. a 13.7 would feel pretty good, that would run with some of the LS1's around here haha.

If your just going to use em at the track and not for any street use than the et streets are probably the best route to go. If you are gonna do street use you can use the nitto drag radials or Bfg Drag radials although they will get worn quicker and not to safe in the rain. Btw Im daily driving my bfg drag radials until I find a set of salad shooters to mount em on.

2 of my buddies got 13.8's / 13.9's with completely stock, or nearly stock LT1's.

One is a bone-stock, '97 Z28 M6.....I mean completely stock.....he got the 13.8.

The other is a '95 Z28 A4 w/3.73's and just CAI and Borla exhaust, and he got a 13.9.

The only thing i have over the 95 is pcm tune. I'm sure one of these days i'll get a 2.0 '60. I just keep thinking to myself ,when i read that guys with stock LT1's get the same times as me, about the 94 M6 Formula ran a 14.8 and 15.0 at the track. It only had 38,000miles!!
