still can't get the car to hook. 1.56 - 60' ,everyone @ Martin friday night was complaining about track and water box being dirty, I tried about everything , loosened up rear shocks- from 8 to 2, ran front on full loose, tire from 12 to 10( M/T 28"-12.50-15) still had a hard time hooking. I don't race a whole lot but is that something to just deal with when tracks are like that or am I just missing something. I even dropped my launch rpm from 5,500 down to 4000

installed twin disc and changed from Nitrous works plate and solenoids to Nitrous outlet plate and solenoids and spraying 200 rather than 150. On Nitrous Works kit would make much difference from 125 to 175 jets.car ran best on 150 jets, on new kit can tell big difference, soon as I get it to hook up, then come the 250 etcccccc,.......... lol

ET Streets, stiff sidewall, UMI torque arm, -3 degrees,Wolff drag swaybar, try to get a vid up later, have dial up here, stop @ friends and upload a vid, front tires lift about 8 " equally, but come right back down, doesn't carry it , 3500 race weight

I had to stiffen the rear shocks and soften the fronts. With it set the opposite it would hook for about 10' then spin. Now it just hooks but mine is a footbraked auto so it's more forgiving than your stick. I run with the fronts on the bottom setting and the rears on 6 left and 7 right with an airbag in the right spring.

I'll have to grab Jonesy and we'll meet you up to Martin or Stanton later in the year!

If everyone was saying that traction sucks, I wouldn't use that evening's performance as a reason to make any changes.

I've heard many say to stay out of the water box unless you're running straight slicks. Any grooves will hold water/moisture regardless.

132 mph should yield a 10.0 et, but you probably knew that.
I've been where you're at.

Got 2 words for ya, ADJUSTABLE CLUTCH.

Good info on adjustable clutches here.... http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=232952

Also here, in the clutch tech section of the forums.... http://www.umtrnorth.com/
