1/8 th times..?

*I took my 2002 to the 1/8 mole track last night for the first time
*60 fts were consistantly 2.2xx
*Best time was 9.06
*Times were mostly aroun the 9.17 mark
*Car is all stock except for a SLP Cat back
*Do these times seem right..I thinl my gears are the 2.73 and its an A4.I was powerbraking some. And very little wheel spin if any.

*I was expecting to be running in the 8's..Thats where I wanna be...Any thoughts.

Sort of confusing... did it run 9.6 or 9.17?

A 9.6 is roughtly a 14.8-sec 1/4-mile, and a 9.17 is roughly a 14.2. Either way it sounds "off" for an LS1, even with the 2.73's. Now if you meant 9.06 was the best, that's a 14.0 and might make sense if the weather was extremely warm/humid and the altitude was above sea level. And with a better 60-ft, you would be getting into the 13's, which would seem more typical.

What was the MPH?

Glad to see you are enjoying the car . I just pulled an old time slip and my best run as you are driving the car was a 9.003 @ 81.26 mph on a 2.205 60ft (1/4: 13.864 @103). With my BFG dr's (that you should have bought ) I did a 8.64 @ 84 mph on a 2.057 60ft (13.27 @105.00). Get some sticky tires on there.

my best 1/8 was a 8.805 @ 82.18 mph the 1/4 was 13.600 @ 101.94 mph... that was the only time at the track in the new car... and it was hot and very humid
