1/4 time ok?
1/4 time ok?
mods in sig, 55* outside in ohio, didnt burn out in staging lanes (street tires), spun through 1st, left very late (people said the tree went all the way to green and i sat there for about a second after the green light was on.)
14.02 @ 97mph also people said if i got slicks, and left on the last amber light i could have got a 13.5
what do you all think? i only could run one time that day and it was my first time at a track.

To get my 9 second pass I'm going to leave on the first amber...
<---that's a joke to the non-track folk..
14.0 isn't bad if you spun really bad. Had you not spun it probably would have gained a few mph and dropped a few tenths..

each car has a reaction time, just like the driver
I leave on the last amber. when your racing dont wait on the green. this does not have an effect on et just on reaction time, also deep staging effects rt
at different tracks on test and tune nights they throw different lights, pro tree and 4 tenths , i think.
on the pro tree all the ambers will come on at once
on the full tree they count down
the best way to to do this is to stage, then focus on the last amber
at this moment I cant remember which was quicker on the reaction time
to shallow stage
creep into the staging beams, light the first yellow then slowly enter the last yellow, and stop
to deep stage
creep forward more until the first yellow goes out, and stop

You probably could have waited with this until he learns to drive his car.
