1/4 mile time kinda need help

i got one of those electronic 1/4 mile things today. i know some of you guys like them and some dont. well anyways i like it so far it has helped me out a little bit so far.

any ways my first run were a 14.63 at 95.2 mph 60' =2.37
my sec was 13.75 at 102.3 mph 60' =2.53

spun sec really bad first run and spun third a little
sec run i spun first and sec no third

so how do you guys get your 60' times down so low and how much does it change your 1/4 time

typically....the consensus is that .10 on the 60ft typically translates to a .15 on the big end and sometimes more (sometimes less). Actual traction issues (how bad you are spinning) and whether that continues past the 60ft clocks are further variables that are often difficult to distinguish.

On mine....using DRs, a .09 reduction in 60ft (largest single increment on consecutive runs...to reduce any other variables) netted a .12 reduction in 1/8th mi et and no change in mph (which often will diminsh with better 60ft on lower-powered cars).
