Re: VE tables

The concept is definitely the same, and works if done by hand. I tried this with my cammed '95, as I wanted to see how the car ran in speed density compared to my ZO6 MAF.

However, in my experience, VEmaster does not work properly at the high RPM ranges. It doesn't seem to correct properly.

I even set my MAP and RPM boundaries appropriately for this method (30 50 90 - 3000 4000 5000), so that those WOT areas would get lots of good data sampling and not crossover with other areas. But after checking the VEmaster log, it looked as though it didn't even SEE most of the data. Very strange.

But, if you modify the VE tables yourself, by looking at the logs, it does indeed work just like with the MAF tables. I got my car running very nicely in speed density, even with my big cam (236/242/114LSA).

Ben,
All I know is you helped me calibrate my MAF through tunercat and scanning about 4 years ago. It runs excellent. I've seen 13.3 in the 1/4 with just short tubes, DR's, tune an CAI. Thanks again for the time and patience.

Thanks for that. Now I have heard others that have tried my technique. I would like to see the results of those others on a dyno. Would be cool to confirm these things.
