When to tune...

Just completed heads/cam/intake/exhaust swap on my 2000 Z28, and was wondering if it would be alright to tune it now. It has the stock clutch in it, and I didn't know if it would not put down the correct numbers by slipping...it doesn't do it now, but after a few hours on the dyno it might? I don't want to wait a couple months to get a tune, because my clutch install is set for June 2nd, and then I'd have to put 500 miles on it before a tune they said So would it be fine if I got it done now with the stocker you think?
