I was told on my other post that my "opti" could be bad. What exactly is it? I don't have any idea.

The opti is the distributor. Look beneath the water pump. It is the thing with the plug wires plugged into it.

 

my engine is the 3.4L, three coil packs, all three are new. I went and got her hooked up to a computer, bad crank sensor which is in turn screwing up the egr and those two equal my bad idle rpms etc. thanks anyways

I guess you figured out the opti is only on the LT1. If you have a bad crank sensor, it's just a matter of replacing it.
