I have a OBD2"16pin" style cable but i need a OBD1"12pin" cable also.I am going to build just the cable from the AKM adapter to the car myself.I have a OBD1 style plug and the D-sub 25 pin female connector but what wire should i use?
There is only 2 wires that need to be connected to each.I wasn't sure if i need to use like a Cat5 cable and just use 2 of the wires or what i needed..

I used some Bose shielded wire as it is a lot more sturdy. I would use some sort of stranded wire to make sure it doesn't break off in the middle of a tune.
