I have access to autotap the program itself but not a cable since it was lost...what kind of cable is used? Can it be made or bought?

 

wow...your lucky. I just got done using my autotap and have the cable right in front of me. I dont know if you can get it anywhere else or not, because.....the cable seiral number has to match the seriel number of the autotap you have. Either way, the cable says the following on it:

AutoTap
OBDII diagnostics Interface
by
B&B Electronics Manufacturing Company
Ottawa, IL 61350 USA
Model AT1

...Then the serial number is on a sticker on the side that should match the seiral number for your autotoap software. Hope this helps.

 

The software is keyed to the hardware serial number. So you will have to contact B&B Electronics for a new cable.

 

Ok....I wonder how much that will run...
