Very interesting OBDII emissions test results

This morning I went to take my 1996 TransAm to get inspected. On the way to the station, my SES light came on. I turned around and went home to hookup autotap. There were two codes for insufficient O2 sensor activity. I cleared the codes, took the car to get inspected. Now according to everything I've read, the emissions monitors should not have been ready since I just cleared emissions codes. The station is only a mile from my house, so there's no way I could have completed a full drive cycle to set all of the emissions monitors. I have the air pump test off in LT1_edit. I also reprogrammed the car 2 days ago, and hadn't driven a full cycle since then. The guy hooked up to the car, and all of the emissions monitors were complete. I passed. I was shocked. I'm gonna post up the current .lt1 file I have loaded in the PCM for everyone to look at. One more thing, could someone take a look at my fan settings? My fans aren't turning on automatically anymore. I have to use the SLP manual fan switch to turn them on. thanks, Josh

Hey man , what all did you need to do for your emissions? My AIR,EGR and cats are my problem and using edit we cant seem to get it to pass? They give me a paper everytime saying the emissions test isnt ready or something. When I talked to the state inspector he had no clue, just said you must have codes and unplugged your battery recently?

If you have that file still could you email it to superkia3@msn.com

Thanks,
Rich

Yes,I'm also trying to get my car ready for an OBDII inspection.
If you still have that file could you send a copy to

ilarion655321@hotmail.com

I have software that tells me if the monitors are ready and I'm having problems with AIR and Catalyst.
The other ones read ready.

From all the old posts 'Ive searched, it looks like you cant get through emissions with the LT1 if you are missing your egr cats or air? I have been trying with EDIT and no luck so far, always says test equipment not ready?

Damn it!

If someone figures this out, please keep us updated!

If they could somehow change what their computer said, I would have no problem with leaving a $100 bill there
This has been such a headache!
