VATS disable?

Is the VATS disable fairly easy to tune out? I also am wondering if this could be done on a 2000 Impalla. Any ideas guys?

Re: VATS disable?

You just go into the "PCM Switch" tables and check the box for VATS disabled (or uncheck if it is enabled). I can't remember exactly because I'm at work, but it's pretty easy.

I don't know about a 2000 Impala, but I'm sure you could always do the resistor mod.

Re: VATS disable?

Thanks. Yea, it looks like it might be a resistor mod. He would rather just tune it out though, instead of splicing his harnesses freeks him out.

Anyone know about TunerCat? Does it allow you to flash OBDII Impala PCM's? Could I use that to flash this VATS/Passkey out?

Re: VATS disable?

You have to have Tunercat for OBD II but they just sold that version to Jet which now IMO is outragiously priced or you can buy Tunercat OBD II for www.moates.net but you have to buy the Roadrunner emulator pcm along with it runs about $2,000

No, it's because the sales were down. Atleast that's what I heard.

Then tell me how raising the price is going to sell more?

Good program or not that was foolish. The only reason Jet wanted it is because they had something good going and didn't want compitition. Once they got into the new cars where the demand is and not 89 Astro vans. Jet jumps on it to buy it up. IMO if they had held on they could have had a lot more sales. The LS1 version just came out didn't it?

yea, i guess your right. I was planning on buying it, but not for outragous prices. It's also called supply and demand and jacking the price isn't going to sell more IMO.

I will be using LT1 edit from now on.

You may be able to buy a copy and a license from somebody. I've seen them for sale at times. Just have to catch it before it gets sucked up.
