Question Using HYPERTECH

The first time i used the HPP, my battery drained completley and my chip got erased. I finnally got the chip reflashed, and i want to try to program it again. The first time, i accidently left my cell phone charger on and the radio on, my battery was dead in a half hour. What is the best way to do the hypertech without risking the battery going dead? Also, in the case that my battery starts getting real low before it is done programming, what should i do to interupt it that wont screw my chip up? Thanks. PS. I posted this in LS1 tech also

Well, to start off I'd recommend getting rid of the Hypertech, because it's pretty much worthless IMHO. In fact, most of the time it will actually decrease your performance with their "Power Programming." But if you insist on using it, make sure you don't have anything on to keep up your battery power throughout the programming. I can't stress this enough, DO NOT USE A BATTERY CHARGER ON THE BATTERY WHILE PROGRAMMING! This is probably one of the worst things you can do. Also, there is no way to halt the programming once it starts without corrupting the flash chips. Start the car before you program and let it run for a few minutes to make sure you have a fully charged battery.
