Turning off Air Pump and EGR???

Arrow Turning off Air Pump and EGR???

where can i go or what can i do to get in the computer to switch the air pump and egr off so i can take them off of the car??? this was just suggested to me this weekend and i really didn't know how to go about it...thanks a lot

Need more info. If you have a 93-95 you can get away with taking everything off and keep from throwing trouble codes. If you have a 96-97 then the only way to go is either converting to OBD1 computer or tuning the OBD2 you have now.

Then you will need to reprogram the computer.

Let me get this straight I can take off the EGR and AIR and not get trouble codes all the time???
I was under the impression that if you took that off. After about 5 min you would get a trouble code and it would stay on forever.
