Tuning for power with bolt on's?

How much (if any) more power is to be had in tuning with your typical bolt on parts? i know that most people start tuning after they put headers on but would i have anything to gain with the mods in my sig? i plan on tuning it myself so i figured i don't have anything to lose, i might as well start learing how to use tunercat/lt1 edit before i do my cam this summer. That brings me to my next question, which one should i buy?

I have seen both programs, and am used to LT1 Edit now... I personally would go with LT1 Edit.

There are some people out there that use both programs.
