Tuning with OBD1

I have OBD2 now and want to go to OBDI. I have the computer already and someone who has a mulitversion of OBDI LT1 edit. Can I just pop the computer in and be good to go with tuning?

I know some have messed with the knock sensor and some havent.

Yes other than you need to either change out the knock sensor or put a resistor across pins in the obd1 pcm (rather easy but lost link to instructions).

Now don't try to start the car until you've put in the correct program for your car (my obd1 pcm came out of a caprice or something like that and the cells had some really odd settings).
