Tuning for driveability using Datamaster and TC
Tuning for driveability using Datamaster and TC
How do you guys tune for part throttle driving using Datamaster and TC? What should I be looking for in a log file?
My car has a lot of cam surge it seems while driving down the freeway at around 60-70 MPH or so - i'd like to get this tuned out.
WOT tuning is fine for the time being - it needs tweaked but i'll do that on the dyno.

Re: Tuning for driveability using Datamaster and TC
ve master is not for drivability, its for correcting all the blms which if your blms are between 108 and 160 ve master wont help.
log a file using datamaster and look at what rpm and map the surge occurs. or look a what grams per sec it occurs at. then go to your maf tables if you looked at grams per sec, and add alitlle fuel. or if you looked at the rpm and map use the ve tables to add fuel (just alittle) adding fuel is a bandaid for more dynamic compression.
but first try just to add a little timing in that area if that doesnt work try the aboved
most of the time the increas timing will get it out. but with the big cams that have less dynamic compression it requires a little more fuel.
