Tuning for 4k stall.
Tuning for 4k stall.
Yes I have read the sticky....
Does anyone have a 4k stall tune for an obd1 4l60e I can have a look at to compare?
Car I am building for a guy has a 383, 468 cam, vig 4k stall, 315/17 tires with 3.42 gears.
Anything close to that would be great. I am having issues with the car shifting on a brand new built trans.
Tunercat .bin file would be great!
Thanks in advance....

Re: Tuning for 4k stall.
Do you have a data logger? Without one it's all guesswork.
What shift specs are you shooting for?
And I read the sticky too, and decided NOT to use it!!!!!
I have been dialing my trans shift points in via Datamaster logs, it shows me exactly what is really going on.
PM me your email. I'll email my 3.42 bin file I use you. Only areas I have played with are cooling fans and shift points. Stock 94 LT1, set to shift a tad early for consistency.

a lot of this information helped me, if I remember correctly. the part of the sticky about the trans needing two things to shift rpm and speed, with the stall the rpm will get there before the speed is even close

Re: Tuning for 4k stall.
The problem is it was shifting at a lower rpm than I wanted. Even increasing mph in the tables seemed to get it somewhat closer in rpm. Then it suffered in normal driving mode at that point. I was hoping someone would have had a similar set up to compare files.
