Tunerpro RT V5 Beta

Has anyone used this so far? I just dl'd it and gonna give it a go later today.

It supports the .adx definitions for aldl data streams so it looks like the datalogging function may finally work for us OBD-I guys.

I'll report back on how it goes.

Wonder if I could use an ostrich with it now and do some real timing tuning! ?

Well I got this up and working guys. To clarify yes it DOES work with LT1's....

No more need to pay for datamaster, or put up with freescans hard to read and clunky interface anymore!

Tunerpro RT V5 is the answer. It's a fully customizable datalogging and tuning solution ALL IN ONE and it's free! Donate if you like is $30 and will remove the 10 sec startup delay screen.

Here's a screen shot of a custom dash board I created to use when tuning. There are some other much cooler ones out there, but this is my first attempt and displays all the data I need for tuning. The built in scaling and display functions are better than Tunercats IMO and I haven't found anything yet that Tunerpro cant do that TC can. If I run across it I can use TC for that one thing, but so far I plan on using Tunerpro from now on.

I'll post a few screen shots actually so you can see some of the new features of V5...

Forgive the quality, uploading them to FB degrades it quite a bit, rest assured the program looks great in person, no fuzzy or hard to read labels, etc...

Instead of attaching them all, here's the link to my FB album:

Where did you download it from? All I see is the 4.1 version on the downloads page.

Never mind... Found it.

Yep, on the main page right?

I'm putting together a video right now. This is awesome software. The more I use it the more stoked about it I am.

People could realistically only pay for a cable, and winflash and be tuning. Much cheaper than the Tunercats / Datamaster route...

I haven't tinkered with it for a few days but I can't get the dashboard display up. Good software but the interface/instructions stink.

It took me a cpl hours of tinkering to get the interface and definition files set up also. Now it works fine.

It sure has a steep learning curve you have to figure out yourself though.

But for free, I'm not complaining too much.

Guys if you need help with the dashboards shoot me an email I'll do what I can.

gregrob20 AT gmail.com

I have a sample one you can download here: http://forddieselpower.com/grfiles/nightdash.txt

Just open that file and read the instructions. You can also send me your .adx file and I can edit it, then send it back and your dashboard will work.

Yes you can tune 93 bin files with it. You will still need the ability to burn the EPROM chip though.

I'm using a Dell Inspiron 6000 and Windows XP

Looks like a pretty nice program. I think I'll download it tonight and see about getting a cable. Any particular brand of cable I should go with? I know some use the Moates, and others the AKM. Is one better than the other for this application?

Glad somebody brought this to the top as I had missed it the first time around.

I don't do facebook, so can't access the pics.

Can it do real-time:
- cell histograms
- graphs
- chart of flag bits

Those are the interface features I find useful in datamaster.

So I went ahead and dl'd this software. Being my first foray into datalogging/tuning, I have no idea how to set this up. I'm without a cable at the moment, but would like to know what I'm supposed to do with the definition and bin files. Also, do I only need an emulator for real-time tuning, or for datalogging as well. Thanks in advance for helping me understand this s/w.

You cant do real time tuning with a 94+ LT1, so no you dont need an emulator.

You need to download the correct definition file from the downloads page on Tunerpro for your PCM. It's the EE definition file for OBD 1 LT1's.

Then you can see the correct values in the tables.
