I think I have some bad files because both times I tried to upload a new tune to my car I got a message on win flash stating wrong message about half way through the upload and fries my computer. I need to start back at square one with some working. .bin files and adx files

Scroll down to posts #6 & 7 for .bins and post #10 for .ADX 16188051 and 16181333 PCM Information $EE $EEB . Some of the .bins are only labeled by the broadcast code (BCC). What you need will be on your PCM label, may have to pull it out , BCC is four letters starting with a 'B' right after the part number on PCM label. The BCC is used to indicate different body types and years.

Also here is a very new repository, only a few days old..it only has .bin files only no TP .adx or .xdf files. http://ltxtech.com/forums/showthread...-Tune-Database

I assume you now have a working PCM....

yes I have a working pcm and downloaded the adx and xdf files off tunerpro.net

I pulled the. bin off my working pcm. are these the only files I need to work with?

That s/b all you need, I've been using the .xfd and .adx from post #10 in the link I posted above for my Z28. The .adx. from TunerPro site was pretty basic no dash or monitors set up.
I have also been building an .adx to get rid of some of the non Fbody values and building a value formula to display and log the A/C evap temp as it's missing from the TP .adx files. When it's done I will we will probably have it added to the thread as an F-Body only .adx . Right now all internet .adx's are more of a 16188051 PCM .adx good for F, B, and Y- body cars. That's a trade off when you use non-licensed publicly written software. Advantage is you have the ability to write your own .adx using the TP built in definition editor and customize logs, dash, history tables, & monitors. I still have TunerCats and Datamaster that I purchased for my Z28, TP is not as user friendly. But w/TP you can add different vehicles free by downloading free .xdf & ,adx files. So I use both each has it's own good/bad points.

now I just gotta figure out why I've zapped to pcms. I didn't have a battery charger hooked up or a charger hooked to the laptop and nothing on the laptop interupted the upload

Can winflash read your PCM OK ? If you problem is writing only, can you read your tune and write it back ? You can get a stock '95 A4 .bin here to testing to the PCM. The Official LTx Tune Database . By the way I use a charger on the car (6 amp mode) and PC is on AC when programming at home. I have a 150 watt inverter I run laptop on when on the road logging.

yeah it reads fine. but both times I've tried to load a tune its said "error incorrect message sent" or something along those lines. it erases the old tune and does it about halfway through the upload
