Tunercat - Tuner, or Tuner RT? Can't figure it out.
I read up on both Tuner and Tuner RT on Tunercat's site. From what I've figured out, these cars use the $EE definition file.
This is what the site says:
By adding 2+2...I'm taking it that these cars can't use the Tuner RT to make real time changes? Thanks...still trying to sort through and figure all this stuff out.
This is what the site says:
Note: The Romulator I only supports EPROM’s up to 256K in size. If you select an ECM Definition File for a calibration that uses a larger EPROM, such as the $0D ECM Definition File, the program will immediately disconnect from the Romulator and revert to normal ‘off-line’ (non-real-time) operation. The Romulator II does support EPROM's up to 512K in size. The AutoProm supports EPROMs up to 512K in size.
The Romulator and AutoProm emulators do not support the FLASH based PCM’s supported by the $EE ECM Definition File.

Re: Tunercat - Tuner, or Tuner RT? Can't figure it out.
The RT Tuner is only for 92-93 LT1s with different PCMs than we(94-95) have. Its meant to be used with a romulator which is a piggy back unit that can actually allow you to change parameters like fuel and spark with the motor running.

The "RT" stands for "real-time", meaning you can adjust various parameters "on-the-fly". As turbo_Z said, we can't use it with the '94-up LT1's.
