tunercat question

in tunercat, do you know what this constant does or mean?

"vss diagnostic enable min rpm"

its the minimum rpm in driveshaft revolutions to enable the ses light for a bad speed sensor.

also the only time people change it is when they put a high stall in, then the setting is adjusted higher than the stall of the converter.

ok thanks, i have a 3600rpm stall and see that its at 3000 rpm. could this have anything to do with the car not shifting at wot?

thanks
steve

hmm, id bet yes.can you change it yourself?if not just buy a cable from aldlcable.com and d/l tunercats and well see if i cant help you from there.it needs to be set at least a couple of hundred above your stall, but let me look into it to make sure, ill get back to you in a day or two.in the meantime, buy a cable to program your ecm! i do it a couple of timesa week, and the first time i did it it payed for itself.its about $40 i think, well worth it.

i have a cable and tunercat here. i upped the value to 7000rpm, maybe i should lower it to about 4000. just have to get to a track to see if it works.
