Tunercat Lt1/lt4 Tuneing Program
Tunercat Lt1/lt4 Tuneing Program
I had the tune progamed january 2006 a few months later I noticed a change it in. Iam not sure if anyone else has this edit but if you do; when you start to slow down for a stop does your rev limiter stick at 2000 rpm untill you come to a complete stop. Mines doing that no matter if iam in 1 2 3 4 5 6 gear once i stop the engine runs to 2000k for a few seconds then will drop down to around 1100. anyone else having this problem at all. If so did you fix it or just left it how it is. Iam not sure if i should just take the car back to the place that did it or just find another company to install a new tune ? what do you guys think
Doesn't sound like a tune issue to me. I'd say you have a good size vacuum leak somewhere or you're pulling in unmetered air. Check to make sure you don't have any tears in the intake elbow and then start going through the vacuum lines looking for leaks...
my car does this at about 1500 rpm, and ive read in the past that it is indeed a tuning parameter. The car does it with too much precision to be a leak IMO. if im coasting the engine turns 1500 no matter what (as long as i come from above that RPM). as soon as the speedo gets to about 5mph it comes back down to idle.
I plan on doing my own tuning come this spring so i am going to see if i can figure it out. it annoys me too, i want my car to idle when i let off the gas no matter what.

Figured mine out last night. Found the conductor to the knock sensor was broken in half but the insulation was intact. The idle is back to normal at arourd 1100 rolling and 800 at a complete stop. Did you do any work on your car around the time the problem started? Good luck.
