You use flashread.exe in DOS mode (not a DOS box), then you tell it what port to communicate on, and what file to name it.

If you have problems, or don't know your way around DOS, post whatever issues you run into.

Good luck!

Cool

Not sure what your trying to do. But if you are just trying to read your ECM or program it- Tuner CAT has a windows Flash Read/Programer Utility. It works great!!! I tried to use the DOS mode one, but the windows version is much easier!! Just my 2 cents worth, dont know if I even helped.

I had the same problem. Some of the PCMs would eventually read and some would never read. However, even the ones that would not read had no problem taking a program. If you are trying to pull a performance program off to save, you may not be able to.

At what % does this occur? This could mean low battery, cable being jostled... You are doing this IN DOS MODE not in Windows at a DOS prompt correct?

If you lack any utilities then you need to email them, some utilities are not downloadable off the site. My understanding is the Windows read/write is still beta(?)

I just tried the windows version on my laptop that practically never works. It worked the first time but thats probably just luck. If anyone wants it just request it from tuner cat, they are quick to send it. My appology goes to Kyle, I was too quick in discounting its existence in an email to him.

Sorry that I couldn't get back to everyone sooner!! I am a Marine and sometimes work keeps me very busy. If anyone ever needs to ask me anything about something I replyed to- please send me an email. Hal emailed me and I got back to him as soon as I could. Again sorry for the delay.
