Tunercat file needed

I've downloaded Tunercat to demo, and I need the $42 ECM Definition file to demo it. Anyone know where I can get one? I'm looking to tune my Hot-cammed 93 TA and my GF's 94 z28 and I'm trying out software.

Jason
TIA

I'll move this over to the Programming forum...

I'm not familiar with how Tunercat works but hopefully you aren't trying to pirate anything

Software works with the 94, but the 93 requires a different deal, you have to replace the chip in a 93, you need a prom burner to get the instruction set in it.

I'm not looking to pirate anything, I just want to get the $42 file to even demo tunercat. I know I need the $EE file to actually edit my car. I'm just looking to see what Tunercat is all about. I have the cable and access to a prom burner. I've been playing with LT1Edit and getting ready to program hers. I'll probably do that when we get back from Houston.

I dont see how you could demo a program if you don't have all the required files. I know its a matter of legality for them, but jeez.

Actually, you have the $42 file, it came with the tuner. However, since the $42 defintion file is only for 87-91 C/K series trucks and vans, it isn't going to do you much good for an F-body. In order to edit a 93 F-body you need to have a $DA3 file and for 94-95 F, Y, and B-bodies, you need to have $EE. I've heard that if you ask Tunercat for one of the files, he'll send you it to try out your demo. I don't know that for sure, you'll have to email him and ask.

Tunercats website says the $42 file is included, but I have yet to find it.

I know the $42 file won't help me tune my car, I just want to check out the program.

I'm sorry if I sound frustrated, its just that I'm not tunning illiterate, I just need this darn file.

If I like tunercat, I'll buy the program, I just want to demo it first.

I emailed Tunercat and we worked everything out!

I like the software so far. I wish I had a $DA3 file so I can see what I can do to my car, but oh well.
