I am in desperate need of a tune on my car, and I need to know which version of tunercat I will need for my car. I have a 96 OBD2 car that I am converting to OBD1, also which type of AKM cable will I need? Thanks in advance.

Re: Tuncercat

Just buy the latest version of TC. (2.08) Also you will need $EE and $EEB definition files for it.

You will need the OBDII AKM cable.

Re: Tuncercat

the Tuner cat software is an OBDi software (and EE difinition file is for 94-95 lt1)they did not make OBDii files yet but you can always conver your car to OBDi by buying OBDi PCM + 94 knock sensor for about $200 +tuner cat and the cable with both OBDi and OBDii style connectors around $200 and you will be able to tune your car and unlimited OBDi cars
1 tuner cat for around $80 + $EE definition file $20
2 used OBDi PCM + Knock sensor $200
3 AKM cable with both OBDi and OBDii connectors for $100
and go reprogram 94-95 OBDi F bodies, Corvettes, Impalas and Caprice
