getting ready to start tuning on a new motor, and was wondering how much timing lt1's like.
the motor is a 388ci 11.5 comp, 8.9 dcr, trickflow heads, xfi280 cam. in a 94 camaro a4. rite now it is showing 38* , but i know my 82 camaro likes 42*
oh ya we live at 4200 foot eleavation. its going on the dyno tomarro.

 

I was running 36 degrees max on a similar setup. Probably was not optimal and could have taken more but you now have an idea.
