Third Gen Chip Reprogramming

I am currently kicking around the idea of buying the equipment to reprogam my chip for the current mods. 355 TPI speed density, 12PSI blower, 470,480 cam, Dart Pro 1 heads, 42lb injectors, 340 Walbro fuel pump, FMU delete, emissions equipment delete. The problem is i dont have a clue on what to modify if i buy the equipment. Is there anyone out there familiar doing these kind of adjustments to chips? If so can you help me through the process so when i go to the dyno i know what i am doing? Thanks,

Check out http://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/promintro.shtml but for some reason the link isn't working right now.
Not sure what to tell you about tuning a blower car.
Did you ever contact Speed Inc like I recommended before? I'm sure Larry could figure out a way to help...nice guy.

Hi,
I do programming on chips. All you need is an UV eraser, an eprom programmer and some software like tunercat. (www.tunercat.com)

Tuning is a lot more complicated and takes some time to learn, but you can start right on this page:
http://lt1edit.schube.com/

It's for LT1 engines but if you scroll more to the bottom, it also gives you some general information on supercharged vehicles tuning...

I burn chips for thitd gens also. Getting WOT figured out is by far the easiest part. The real challange is to take care of normal driveability problems. Cold Start up, Tip In Throttle, Accelerator Enrichment, VE Table, etc. Fueling theory is pretty much the same as a SD LT1. I would reccomend that you get the stuff and burn your own, or take the car to someone who will spend the time to tune everything. Forget mail order tunes for your application as that will just be throwing Eproms down a hole.

I did contact Speed Inc. and they said they work with Ed Wright out of OK. Which means i would be doing a mail order chip. Which is what i want to stay away from. So i like the encouragement and info that you guys are giving me on burning my own. And i will be in search of someone who has a similar set up like mine who can provide me with similar file settings if that's what you call them. This will help me a lot. So can you guys tell me exactly what i will need down to the cables to burn my own chips? Also a vendor with average pricing for this equipment would be of great help. Thanks to everyone who chipped in no pun intended hehe

TTS Datamaster is probally the most user friendly of them all, I tune most of my cars with that software.

I'm not sure what year model you have but you might want to try winaldl and craig moates's software at www.moates.net
