Stock LT1 computer "on the fly" programming

My friend calls me last night as asks me to stop by his house this afternoon because he wants to experiment with my car. He said "Trust me" and I did.

When I got there, he hooked up a few gadgets he'd been working on and proceeded to scan the car and RE-PROGRAM the computer with the engine still running, much like DFI!

Don't ask me specifics because I don't fully understand what he did -- using TunerCAT is the extent of my ECM abilities. I can tell you, though, that he had one cable hooked to the ALDL port and another going to the ECM. He had to do a little soldering in ECM to make it work.

He said he'll be ironing out a few bugs then plans to sell them.

Pretty cool, huh?

yep but it wasn't until craig made a good emulator until it worked.

slap craig on the back of the head and tell him good job.

He'll know who this is.

hehe
