Speedo recal LT1 A4 -93 questions

Hi..

My friend whant to change gearing from 2.73 to 3.73 on his Trans Am A4 -93

What is needed to get the speedo/ECM to work correct?
Is it controlled by the ECM? or is it gear driven?

I already have TC+burner and so on... and was lookin at the $DA3 def.file there is somehing called "Instrument Panel VSS Pulse Divisor" and "Road speed constant".

My guess is the the Pulse divisor should be multiplied with 3.73/2.73 correct?

/N.

Nope, sorry

You can't recalibrate the speedo in a 93 car

Since it's an A4 car you can swap out the transmission drive and driven gears with the proper ratios to correct the speedo. Unfortunately, I don't know what the part numbers are for the 3.73 set. Try a search on here or the speed density board link in my sig. You should come up with them.
