software to tune
software to tune
i want/need software to both tune and monitor the car. i was looking at lt1 edit, and then getting sometype of scan soft ware. does tunercat have the obd2 software out yet? also at first i would not be tuning the car, the shop down the street would be, the tune using ls1 edit but there isnt enough intrest for them to puchase the lt1 edit. if i bought lt1 edit with an additional vin could i download it on 2 seperate laptops, or would it have to be on only one. reason i ask is someone down the street from my has a 97 transam and wants the software but we figured we could go halfs and save some money.
Re: software to tune
Don't know if datamaster has their obd2 software out yet.
It's been allegedly imminent for the last year.
With LT-1 Edit you can load it on as many laptops as you want.
It will read any pcm and you can modify tunes.
But it will only program pcms it's been vin locked to.
It's locked to the pcm through the interface module.
If you purchase 2 licenses you can use any laptop or pc but can only program the 2 pcms that have been vin locked.
So your friend can use his laptop but will need your cord with module.
If you only get 1 license and then want another one you'll have to send back the module and have it modified by carputing.
