shifting woes with 4.88's

since putting in the 4.88's re-tuning the pcm for the gear change and improved shifts etc,. i,ve got a problem where it won't shift under full throttle at anything over 5800rpm or so,.you have to lift off on the pedal to get a shift,. even manually,. up shifts are set at 1-2 5500 2-3 5300 3-4 5300,.
any idea's? motor is stock with hot cam and springs,.

I know nothing of the set up but could it be part of the OBDI no shift problem?
If not, I got to think the RPMs are going up faster than the PCM can keep up with.

i,ve never heard of an obd1 no shift problem before,. but i have my suspicions too that you you are right about the pcm not keeping up with the speed that it picks up 1st gear revs,..what can be done about this ,.
anyone?
thanks

So it does have an OBDI PCM?
What stall are you using?
Have you logged any of the problems?

Re: shifting woes with 4.88's

Most of the OBDI issues have been with 3500+ stalls in the A4s.
When it does finally shift, is it in 2nd or does it go to 3rd until you cut the car off and start it back up again?

What is your MPH and RPM settings for WOT?

The only thing I can think todo is to back down those MPH flags and see if it will shift.
