Shift point problems

I have getting a headache trying to figure out what is wrong. When i'm in WOT, i keep hitting the fuel cut off cause my car wont shift from 2-3. I'm using tunercat and i have been messing with all the shift point tables and nothing is working, anyone have any suggestions?

Did it only happen when you started messing with it? Mine did the same thing but my Transmission is going out. I fixed it by lowering the shift points and uping the line pressure. This get's me by untill I can afford a new tranny.

Maybe if you gave some more specific info and what your mods are, it might help.

This just started happening. My mods are:

Pocket Ported LT1 Heads, LT4 HC, 1.6 RR, long tubes, 3.73's

I have upped the line pressure, but my tranny doesn't feel like it's going out at all, it's running nice and strong.

I'll bet your tranny is starting to go. The 2-3 shift slipping is the first sign of the 3-4 clutch pack going out. How many miles on your tranny? Have you ever had it flushed? Like Shoebox said list your mods and it may help us out.

What tables are you changing? You want to be using the ones that say kickdown something or other for changing the WOT shift points.

I bet your problem is the OBD I High stall issue, it is a common problem. I am not sure what the fix is I use OBD II. MadZ28 or PCM for less should be able to fix it they are both sponsers.

Re: Shift point problems

I have the exact same problem. Ive tried changing every table and it still wants to shift at 6300, even with 1st gear set to shift at 33mph! If I throw the stock tune in it will shift at 5800, but the tables look the same when compared on Tunercat?!? Im confused. Mods are in sig and the car has only 52k miles, stock tranny and converter.
