shift point help
shift point help
I want to shift at 6500/6600 rpm's, I cant seem to get it right with my lt1 edit. Does anyone have a file or can tell me what to set all my tables at to shift at that rpm. I also have 3.73 gears and a 3600 stall, stock trans, 245 tires. Thanks
I'm pretty sure this is how it works:
There should be 2-4 tables you will need to modify. I have TunerCat so I'm not sure what tables you will need to modify with LT1 edit. I wouldn't think they are named the same thing.
In TunerCat they are kickdown mode up/down shift points, hot kickdown mode up/down shift points, kickdown normal mode shift rpm thresholds, and kickdown hot mode shift rpm thresholds.
In order for a shift to occur the computer must realize the values in the mph and rpm tables I listed. I think that it is easier to set the mph tables to a mph that is a little lower than what your shift point is going to be. I'll assume you can figure this?
Then you will use the rpm threshold tables to change the rpm you want to car to shift.

LT1 edit has normal shift rpm, hot shift rpm, WOT shift mph, and hot shift mph. It seems that the only box that matters is the WOT shift mph. I just can seem to get it right, Im trying to figure out what mph I should put in the box to equal 6,600 rpms.
