Question SES light, then it goes away, no code?

I was on my way home from the track, I floored it through 2 gears to get on the interstate, then 15 seconds later I got the SES light. I notice the exhaust sounded a little different so I suspected a header was leaking.

I got home, turned off the car, turned it back on, and the SES was gone. I drove around the block a few times and no SES. I still think it sounds like the header is leaking...

I scanned the car with TTS DataMaster and there was no code. I thought that the SES trips a code, and it doesn't go away. Does it go away when the SES turns off?

I will check for exhaust leaks tomorrow. Do you think that sounds like a reasonable guess at what the problem could be?

Thanks!

It will go away if the problem goes away, some codes sit in the computer longer however.

Run FreeScan or Datamaster and repeat the situation, if you get an O2 Sensor Lean code then you most likely do have an exaust leak, which I've had, and it liked to show up I suppose around 4500 RPM or so. If thats the case you should also experience a serious power loss when the code hits.
