Quick pcm question

Quick pcm question

whould I have to adjust my pcm if I got 17in 9.5 in zo6 rims on my 94? I have stockers right now.

it all depends on the size of the tires you put on, you should get a set of tires that keep the overall same diameter

As he said, wheel size has nothing to do with it.

Even if the tires are different diameters, you don't _have_ to reprogram. The only thing it will mess up is the speedometer.

Some people say that having an uncalibrated speedometer can lead to automatic transmission problems because the programmed shift points and line pressure is based on an assumption about the car that is now not totally correct.

But, the amount of risk is associated with the amount the speedo is off. This is a bigger issue if you're changing gears.
