Question about programming

I am getting ready to get my computer done by madz28. But I was wondering what KNOCK RETARD DESENSITIZING does?

Also, with my automatic trans, im wondering if changing the shift firmness will effect the tranny in any bad ways?

Re: Question about programming

it does just that. makes the knock sensors less sensitive to 'hearing' knock. changing shift firmness will only have a bad effect if the tuner sets voltage too high and burn up the solenoids. raising line pressure is a good thing. the firmner the shift, the less slipping the clutches do until full engagement. and also reduces heat build up.
