Problem, dont know if it has to do with advance, PE, or what
I have a stock motored, LT, 1.6rr car...nothing big. well he is my problem:
Any time i statrt driving with a constant throttle between like 1/4 and 2/3, i will get like "surging". for example, i dont remember the exact RPMs stuff happens at, but like aroung 2000 rpm, it feels as if the car just added 10* of timeing, then around 2600 its takes out 20*. then at 3500 the power comes back in as if timing was added again. this ushally does happen under WOT.
SO i was thinking, maybe something was wrong with the timing table or minimun advcace, temp advance etc. nope. nothing changed. so i put a stock program on only with like fan temps my gears and took out all spark retard like normal. The surging is less then normal, but deffinatly still there.
Its so annoying, i was thinking spark advance, but i dont think a stock table would do that. then i was looking at the PE table that i used on most of the programs i have and noticed the are extremly jerky. like the will go from taking out .8 to adding 6.4 % on some, even 8.9% on th stock one. could this be my problem?
last thing i could think of is mechanical, but if its that im stuped, car seem fine. any help that would be good

Do this...
Take a totally bone stock program and put it in there. Don't make any changes to anything. If it still runs like that, it's not the PCM or program and you'll need to start looking at something else wrong. Like the previous post said, you'll need to scan it and get an idea of whats going on.
Well i have scaened it, no codes, and nothing abnormal at all.
the program i have on there is all stock except for i have it so it takes out no spark retard. i orgianally though maybe that was it, but no change. i actully wonder if this program is stock.
i got it off http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/LT1Edit/LT1files.htm 95tastock.lt1
does anyone have a program they are sure in 100% stock, preferably from the latest model of OBd1?

Do you have an LT4KM? If not, the increased noise from the 1.6RRs could be causing false retard, and then the timing's put back in, etc. etc.
