Power-washed engine- BLMs to 160 both sides
Power-washed engine- BLMs to 160 both sides
Cleaned the engine last week with a power washer. Logged in datamaster and my long term BLMs in all fuel cells climb to 160 within 30 seconds.
Dried out all connectors that I could find. Checked the all the areas where I believed there could be a vacuum leak.
Programmed out the MAF so I could check to see if that was the problem. Car ran way worse in open loop and would barely start. Ran great after 5000 rpm though.
Set the injectors to 24 lb/hr to richen up the mixture. The BLMs will stay in the 135-140 range when I do this but it runs pig pig rich.
I CHANGED THE OPTI yesterday. No change. It is something that affects BOTH SIDES of the motor.
What else could it be?
What vacuum leaks have you guys found on your car?
HELP!!!!

It was the MAF.
Swapped it out this morning with one out of my buddy's car.
MAF was only reading 87% of incoming air (237 vs +/- 270). PCM was only adding in enough fuel for the 237 grams. O2's would read lean and add more fuel causing the BLMs to lock at 160.
Runs great now. Atleast I've learned how to change the opti.

This is totally off topic, but I was wondering if you could answer a question about the lt1 edit mailing list. I'm subscribed to the list and was reading your postings, so I know you're a member too. My question is, every time I try to post a response or a new topic on the mailing list, my post is "held for moderator approval". Well, none get approved and I therefore can't post! I don't think others go through this as people are responding to posts in real time. Do you have any insight on this?
