Po 171- po 174

I have a 96 camaro ss. Im getting codes po 171 and po 174. I googled it, and it said that it was a lean condition. What could be causing this condition ?

The car is hard to start when it sets for weeks, but starts fine the rest of the day. When it does start it runs and idles good but when I revved it up to do a hole shot it fell on its face.

With both sides running lean, its most likely something affecting both banks simultaneously. Check the fuel pressure - could be low pressure/dirty filter. Check for a tear in the inlet elbow, between the MAF sensor and the throttle body. When was the last time the MAF sensor was cleaned?

The elbow is aluminum and the MAF sensor has no screen it has after market ends .
