Question PCMCIA to RS232 adapter

Ok fellas, I am buying LT1 edit. I have been in touch with Dave at Carputing. I have a laptop, and AKM cable which I have used with a USB adapter (not the Belkin F5U103) but one that works. The issue is that this may not fly with LT1 edit.

So he states that I should get the PCMCIA card for the RS232 serial cable. Now I am having a hell of a time finding one. Can anyone help.

I emailed Andrew, but no response as of yet, but while im waiting, has anyone done this route??

get www.tunercat.com better software and goto www.moates.net for your adapters.

IF you want to pay 2x the amount for inferior software feel free. your laptop doesnt have a serial port ? or a USB port ?

Re: PCMCIA to RS232 adapter

It doesnt have a serial port, and I just got a email back from AKM and he is doing an exhange to take his Serial cable and convert it to a USB cable. As for the program, I appreciate your opinion, but this is the one I feel comfortable with.

thanks!

You can buy that adaptor anywhere, it's nothing specific to the tuning software or hardware.
