pcm tuning

I have a hypertech power programer plus, how does this compare to all these different computer programs such as lt1_edit?

The hpp has one predetermind tune that you can upload to your pcm, very minor increase in performance, it also well increase trans line pressure for firmer shifts, and allow ajdusting for gear and tire size changes. It's OK for a unmodded car.
With LT1edit or Tunercat you can do all that plus much more. You can change fuel, timing, injectors, trans, gears/tires, plus more. It's a must for modded cars to get good drivibility and mileage.
If you plan on doing heads/cam/gears I would invest in a laptop and a editer. For one time modds you can go with a mail order tune from www.pcmforless.com or the like.
