P1860 TCC PWM solenoid Circiut Electrical

hello,

i just swaped in my A4 from Rossler and everything is fine but this code...... i got the wiring harness from SpearTech, and double checked everything........

can some tell me what else to look for?

also can this hurt the tranny in any way? or not let it shift right?

the TC is locking and this code comes on even without the car running key just "on" so i can scan

Re: P1860 TCC PWM solenoid Circiut Electrical

You probably got an earlyer (94) Transmission that does not have a PWM solenoid, just the TCC solenoid.
The strange thing is that the TCC is not supposed to be engaging if you get the P1860 code.
I have the situation described above after installing a built '94 4L60E in my '96 Z28.
There is one pin and wire less in the transmission connector, corresponding to the PWM solenoid.
I am going to delete this hardware verifation test from the PCM with LT1 edit but still have not got there. I am waiting for another part for the transmission to arrive.
Maybe someone else has done this before and can help with his experience.

Glad to hear you got yours running right.

I got mine fixed too.
Removing the P1860 Hardware verification test with LT1 edit got rid of the SES light and got the converter TCC working.
