OBDII Tuning and Emissions

I currently have an OBDI computer in my '96. If I put the stock OBDII computer back in, along with the correct knock sensor, can the computer be programmed to pass the emissions check? I don't have a problem with the visual check, it just won't pass once the hook up the machine to the computer port.

The last time I tried to get it to pass, there was an EGR error, along with O2 sensors. I assume I could have the EGR, air pump and rear O2's deleted in the program to make it pass?

Any suggestions?

Yes, you can disable all the codes to avoid the SES light. This will create a "not ready" status in the PCM. However, if you have too many of these "not ready" statuses in the PCM, you can also not pass that way. I would call your emissions testing center and find out how many you are allowed in order to pass.
