Question OBDII Idle Timing

Here's what I have - 97 with OBDII and an A4 trans. When I set the "Closed Throttle Spark Adv." to 24 degrees for the idle rpm range that is the amount of advance I see with Autotap WHEN THE A4 IS IN PARK, but whe I put it in gear I see from 28 to 32 degrees (usually 29 to 30). It doesn't seem to matter at all what I set in the "Load vs Adv." area. I have changed it in the idle range from 4 degrees retarded to 4 degrees advanced in the in gear idle values and everything close to them. Upload the program, run the car, there it is 28 to 32 degrees of advance at idle. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, please help. Thanks in advance.
