OBD2 cable

Hi guys, I have a 99 Z28 Camaro and my SES light has been coming on for a few weeks now. It will stay on for a journey then the next trip I make it will be off again. The car runs fine.

I decided to buy an OBD2 cable with a VPW protocol from a guy on Ebay it comes with software that allows you to read DTC codes off your car. You can reset the codes also.

It also reads much more info off your PCM

It is not tied into youur Vin number like the $400 packages you can buy but it is a data gathering software not a tuning tool.

The cost is £45 or $76.50 outstanding value!

You download the free software called OBD2 and plug in to your cars OBD2 conector and it works! I got code P0405 which something to do with the EGR sensor low voltage (as if I care what the EGR's doing or not!)

The guy ships from China and it arrived in less that 1 week and that price includes shipping.

Here is the link:

There are only a few hours to run on the auction but he always relists more
Make sure you ask for a VPW protol for the LS1 or what ever it lists in the table he provides because it works with most vehicles.

OBD2 is a worldwide standard for all vehicles since 1996.

I am not connected in anyway with the seller, I just thought I would like my fellow LS1 owners to take advantage of this inexpensive product.

Cheers Andy
